The color is amazing and the contrast so sharp and clear, it is a pleasure to watch, I already owned a 32 inch Toshiba that I also purchased from amazon so I trusted the product,but was concerned about the sound because the smaller set has adequate but not great sound, but this larger set is much louder and it is not a real issue as we will be using the surround sound any way. For the price this has to be the best deal out there right now and I could not be happier. I have an issue with the shipping company but it has nothing to do with amazon or the quality of the TV so I am a happy custo

Cinema Mode 24 fps (3:2 Pulldown): This HDTV performs 3:2 pulldown detection and reversal, too--a handy feature for watching progressive-scan movie programs in their native 24-frame format. To adapt 24 frames-per-second movies to 30 fps video, frames in the original movie must be duplicated; 3:2 pulldown digitally corrects this duplication by removing the redundant information to display a frame-accurate picture.
Color Temperature Control enables you to adjust white balance to achieve the best television picture possible in any viewing environment, or simply adjust the picture to suit your personal tastes. The "Warm" setting delivers a redder image that is ideal for display in a dimly lit room, while "Medium" and "Cool" provide a progressively bluer image for the best picture as room light levels are increased.
Three TheaterWide modes are ideal for displaying HDTV signals as well as enhanced for widescreen television DVDs.


TheaterWide 1: Letterboxed image is digitally expanded 33 percent horizontally and vertically. Useful for reproducing Academy Standard (1.85:1) formatted software.
TheaterWide 2: Letterboxed image is expanded 33 percent horizontally and 42 percent vertically. Particularly of use when viewing narrow letterboxed images originally filmed in Panavision or CinemaScope.

Which Size HDTV is Right for My Room?

With standard-definition TVs, the rule used to be that viewers would feel comfortable watching a set from a distance of 3 to 6 times the screen size in inches. With HDTV, the resolution is so much better that you can sit closer to a larger TV without noticing the pixels. So with HDTVs, the rule tends to be you can sit anywhere from 1.5 to 3 times the screen size (in inches) for the best experience.
If you know the size of the room you have already, where you want to sit, and where your new HDTV should go once you get it, you can figure out the size HDTV you should get.

(More customer reviews)This size computer has become popular because it hits a sweet spot between portability and functionality.I first purchased an Asus ultralight 13.3 inch notebook last fall, and it has been terrific.When my daugher needed a new notebook, she wanted one like mine due to its portablity, light weight, full web-page-sized 1366x768 screen, low power use, and higher processing power when compared to a netbook.(Netbooks, with their smaller 1366x600 screens and single core processors, are less functional in my opinion, although they can weigh a pound-or-so less.)

As compared with my Asus UL30a-X5, this notebook is similarly priced and has nearly identical specs.I purchsed the DM3 due to a local sale, and with a trade in on an old notebook it ran 450.The differences between the Asus and this notebook are as follows.The Asus is a square, flat, brushed metal finish while the HP has an elegant curved style with a design etched into it...win: HP.The Asus weighs 3.75lbs and has slightly longer battery life, the HP weighs 4.2lbs....win: Asus.Both with 1.3 Ghz dual core processors (although Asus is Intel C2D, HP is AMD X2 K325), both have 4ghz RAM, both have full versions of Win7 Home 64-bit, both have 13.3" LED LCDs...tie.Unexpectedly, the HP has amarginally faster 320gb 7200rpm HDD, the Asus a larger 5400rpm 500gb...winner=your choice.

Functionality of the notebook is great, as long as you're not trying to do processor-intensive tasks.Nice clear, bright screen.Boots up quickly, and the initial screen gives you a choice of a proprietary Linux-like web browser-email-picture viewer-music-video player OR Win7.The 4gb ram allows quite a bit of multitasking without a noticable decline in performance. I notice no difference in speed between the two notebooks, and they both work great for word processing, web brousing, and playing video and music.I've loaded the FREE Microsoft Security Essentials, and it does not seem to slow down the machine at all. (Unlike some other resource hungry anti-virus-spyware program suites.) Chicklet keyboard is typical of this style (I prefer a regular keyboard) and the touchpad is easy to use.None of these UltraLights have DVD drives, so if you need one figure that into the price if you need one.It is helpful to have one because you should either make a set of restore DVDs from the factory HDD, or you can use a (very large) USB drive.

Overall a fine computer with exceptional design and finish. Recommended.

(More customer reviews)This camera is amazing.Once I charged up this puppy and fired it up it looked awesome.I filmed my dog and you could see every strand of hair on his body and the texture of the hair.It also has the smiling sensor technology that is really neat.Put it in video mode and when someone smiles SNAP!....a photo is automatically taken (you can set it on or off).I like that its flash memory as well (hard drives dont survive drops so well).I gotta say Sony put out one sexy stylish camcorder.It looks great in the hand and it definitely got some peoples attention.Once you get this camcorder you'll never want to go back to SD recording.Here are my PROs and CONs:

(More customer reviews)First I should mention that I only use this laptop for about two weeks, and this is my first tablet PC. So be cautioned for my unintended bias.

Pros:
1. the price. You cannot find other tablets on the market with similar specs (e.g., cpu, HD, and ram) at this price range. Tablets from Lenovo or Dell would cost you double.
2. The cpu (i3-ulv) seems to be (or more than) powerful enough for most applications. I don't play computer games, but I do lots of cpu-demanding scientific computing. It turns our that this machine works pretty well, and the response is quick.
3. The metallic design looks modern and cool; the build quility is great.
4. Good battery life. I think it can run for 5, 6 hrs on battery (but I should confess that the estimate comes from one of the windows 7 desktop gadgets; i haven't empirically tested it myself).

Cons:
1. Maybe it's because of the 7200 rps HD, I can sense a constant vibration when I lay my palm on it while typing.
2. The static from the HD and fan (or something else?) can become a little too noticable in a quiet environment.
3. The air blown out of the vent can get warm under high CPU utilization. Right now it's not bothering me at all, but if I switched the cpu to i5 then the heat might be a point of concern.
4. The useable screen area is actully one inch less than the proclaimed 12.1".
5. The laptop is preloaded with too many bloatwares.

But overall this is a great tablet at an affordable price. Highly recommended.

They have been thrown in the back of the car flown once around the globe and have never failed. Only one bulb was damaged by a suitcase and that's it. The light is sufficient and absolutely clear. The stands are strong enough and the reflector is strong and bright. I am using the little shower cap which comes with the reflector and never used the softbox. So I do not know if they are hard to install. If someone wants to buy them. you are welcome. Send an email to [...] and let me know. The shower cap in front of the reflector has the same effect as the softbox and the bulbs are much more protected.

(More customer reviews)This the first review I have felt was worth the time to do.I have have worked in several fields of photographyover a 37 year career that include motion picture, commercial catalogs and aerial mapping.I am also an avid amateur nature photographer.I lost count of how many film and video cameras I have purchased over the years.My last camera was a JVC model GR-DV3000 and 3.5 years old.It was a very good camcorder.I read several reviews on the Panasonic DHC HS300 before purchasing it.I is an outstanding piece of engineering.It work great right out of the box.I purchased the camera on July 6 and used it extensively on a recent trip to Las Vegas.The results from daylight and night time shooting is superb.

Pros:There are so many good features it is difficult to determine where to start.Switching from Video to Stills is easy and smooth.The touch screen is a big plus in navigating through the various menus.For the advanced user the are numerous manual options to chose from.The 10..6 megapixel stills are better that my 8.2 megapixel Canon D20 digital still camera.I purchased a 16 GB Transcend SDHC card to compliment the 120 GB internal hard drive.I used both the hard drive and the card in Vegas. It is very easy to transfer files from one to another.The video and still files work well with editing software.I use CyberLink Power Director 7 Ultra.Cables are provided to link up to HD TVs and pro logic receivers with the HDMI mini.Other cables are also provided.The thumb nails provide easy access to the video clips and stills.

Cons:The camera button and touch screen might pose some difficulty for a person with large hands.In this case the stylus to navigate the touch screen is necessary.Do not buy the filter sets that use a reduction ring from 43 mm to 37 mm.You end up with vignetting at the wide angle setting.I purchased Tiffen 43 mm filters.The additional Tele and Wide angle lenses are not worth the money.There is no neck strapor case available for this camera.Therefore I purchase a Lowpro gadget bag.It can be used as a fanny pack this a belt.

Conclusion:A bit pricey but Panasonic has put together a great overall package.
