(More customer reviews)I bought the Z981 specifically to use on vacation trips to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area, (BWCA), on the Minnesota-Ontario border.The Z-981 worked great.

The only problem was trying to use the maximum zoom while floating in a canoe, a problem unique to the BWCA, The geometry of a bouncing canoe and the maximum zoom makes it difficult to focus on something like an eagles nest located a half-mile away.Its a great problem to have!

The feature I enjoyed most, once I figured out how to match up photos was the panoramic setting.Some great wide-angle shots.
