(More customer reviews)The old saying, "You get what you pay for" holds true here.This camera, for the price point, has some good basics, a few "bells and whistles" but, it also has a few flaws.But then, doesn't everything?
I was looking for a medium priced camera with a good level of pixels, and as high a zoom as I could get, yet not get into one too complicated, or large and heavy.This certainly fits that criteria.The trial was a trip to 4 National Parks and over 600 pictures taken.The fact that this weighs only a little more than a pound made it comfortable to carry around my neck all day so it was available and ready whenever that perfect shot of the wildlife appeared! The zoom was really great as it allowed me to get close enough to the Bison to see his eyeball in the lens with out actually being dangerously close to those BIG guys!
The flaws I found were in the design....the thumb hold is too close to a control button, but I was able to "adapt" my grip. The lens was slow in adjusting to the zoom thus causing some photos to come out blurry and you can hear and feel the mechanism adjusting....if you learn to wait until it stops the photos were clear.I had a few pictures with an unusual "V" of discoloration/light in the center but have not yet figured out what the cause may have been for sure.Possibly the auto lens setting not being completed at the time of the shot. The "tripod" is a joke so don't count on using it!

Overall, it is easy to use, produced good, clear pictures and for the price point (I paid $279) it was a good buy.
