(More customer reviews)Was introduced to this camera on a recent trip to Switzerland, was intrigued.
Finally caved and spent the money on it for our wedding and vacation in Hawaii.I've had the camera for about 3 weeks now, and am still stunned by the ease of use, and versatility.
I have two freinds who have already purchased this camera after checking out mine, and a few others who are considering it.
While the 'cons' you'll find about this camera via reviews and the like are certainly valid, I cannot honestly consider any of them severe enough to knock down my opinion of this camera. It's so easy to take great pictures, to use 'pro' style adjustments (aperture, shutter speed) as you learn, it's just amazing.Color is sharp, resolution is high, and the camera is so compact, it's great.
My biggest 'con' that I'd agree with is the battery life. But, I wouldn't say it's awful.I'm using the continuous advance a lot, snapping of 10-12 photos at a time to have a choice to select from later.I've come close to killing the battery a few times, but it's always been near the end of the day.I am planning on getting an extra battery, just to have on hand.
I cannot recommend this camera enough for the casual user who wants to take some more professional level photos.
