(More customer reviews)Don't expect this lens to be your best friend and you won't be disappointed. I was skeptical when I saw "the deal", but, I wanted to try it regardless. While I must admit that this lens CAN let you reach out and touch the moon.. it's going to make YOU do all the driving!
With a weight of about 5 pounds you probably won't want to walk far with it... not with the rest of your camera bag - which you'll need to make this lens funciton. There are no "quick", "easy", or luxury amenities with this lens. It has no auto-focus ability, the aperature is "automatic"... which is, essentially, a fixed aperature that is set by the focal length.
At longer focal length the generous manufacturing tolerances are scary! The poor thing feels like it will fall apart at any moment.
If you're looking for something near the bottom of the price heap, that'll remind you of its status as such with every touch, then, this isyour lens.
