(More customer reviews)I have carefully calculated the the maximum weight of what camera and lens combinations (D300+ w/ 50-150mm F/2.8 lens) that I intended to mount on this tripod and found it to the well below the max weight specified by the manufacturer.However, neither the legs nor the head could handle the load.

Now I only use it with my light weigh camcorder.

The legs lock into positions, the first of which is too close to the center to be safe with a heavy camera and a tele lens.Make sure you insure your gear before you mount it.

The head is too small and the head is slow (screw) release.

The good:
1- lightweight and folds down to 15.6 inch which makes it great for hiking and travel.
2- The monopod if can be assembled quickly in unscrew-screw process.
3- story but there's no more "good"

The bad:
1- The maximum load capacity stated is misleading. flimsy legs, useless head.
2- The head is almost unusable and needs to be replaced with a larger one at the expense of not being able to fully folded th legs again
3- too expensive for what you get.

I would not recommend this product to anyone.
